Tea Forte Loose Leaf Trio Review

9:11 PM

Yay! Our first tea review!

This is a find from an integrative pharmacy, a lovely fruity herbal trio. Initially attracted to it by it's packaging, we are overall pleased with the quality of the tea.

Mojito Marmalade
Initial Flavor: Cool, refreshing mint
After Taste: Cool, sweet. Like mint with a background of fruit
Serving Suggestions: No need for honey! Serve hot or cold
Season Suggestion: This would be perfect for fall as it is warming due to the spearmint, yet reminiscent of summer with the sweetness of the fruit.
Courtney Rating: 9. The mint might be just a tad overpowering, if you are not a fan of mint.
Vivian Rating: 8. Same reason as Courtney, but I am less of a fan of mint

African Solstice
Initial Flavor: Warm, cinnamon
After Taste: Licorice, floral tones, sweet
Serving Suggestions: No need for honey! Serve hot
Season Suggestion: Fall or winter tea because of its warm qualities
Courtney Rating: 8.5. Tastes a little bit artificial
Vivian Rating: 9. Loved this! Very warm and calming. And the floral notes make me feel dainty.

Harvest Apple Spice
Initial Flavor: Cinnamon, slight apple
After Taste: Like fresh baked apple
Serving Suggestions: Best when brewed at 3 minutes. Do not over brew! (It gets a weird overripe, sour taste, like a sour apple candy). Can be served hot or cold, but the apple flavor comes through most when cold.
Season Suggestion: Apple naturally goes well with fall and winter
Courtney Rating: 10. WE LOVE IT!
Vivian Rating: 10. WE LOVE IT!

Tiny Tea Things

As and owner of over 70 varieties of tea, I decided that it was about time I started reviewing them. My collection of tea evolved as a method of coping through the many college struggles… specifically, starting after Freshmen year. Not only do I want to share my favorite (and not favorite) teas with you, I also would love another reason to buy and drink more teas.
