I'll be honest, I expected a lot more from this tea. At first, I didn't taste much at all -- minimal tea flavor, extremely slight spice. I let it brew longer and longer, in hopes of extracting all the flavor I could, and now it definitely tastes over-brewed. I taste some chai spices, but not much of the cinnamon. This blend is quite drying and lacks in flavor. The problem may be due to some flavors developing quicker than others, leading to a partially over-brewed taste, while also missing some. I give this a 4/10 for effort. It's not bad when it is brewed for a very long time, but I wish it was better.
Happy Tea Drinking,

This season was one to give and receive tea. Below are the teas that my lovely friends gave to me. I'll admit it, half of these I bought for myself, but I won't say which ;)
This lovely pink heap of tea is an assortment of love from a dear friend. On the left you have some Pomegranate Raspberry Green Tea from Stash, Pumpkin Spice Chai from Tazo, and Trader Joe's Jasmine Green Tea. On the right is Gingerbread Spice from Celestial Tea, and let me tell ya, this tea smells up the whole room with gingerbread deliciousness.

Ok, I admit, these are the ones that I bought for myself. I couldn't help it! In my defense, this was all while buying teas for others, so it is definitely justified. From left to right we have Napa Blanc by Lupicia (I have had this tea before and love it so I had to buy more!); Peach Blossom Tea and Decaf Bingo Bango Mango Tea from Tal Y Tara, an adorable tea and polo shop in San Francisco; and Salted Caramel Chai from Trader Joe's (something that I stalk up on every holiday season).
I am so excited to try each of these teas and review them for you all! I hope your holidays were just as enjoyable and tea filled as mine were :)

I know it's been far too long since I last posted. Midterm craziness and being sick for a whole month was not a good combination.
I'd like to return with a long time favorite-- Neptune by Lupicia. It is a black tea with honey preserved fruits and marigold. Oh man. This stuff is amazing. I am a lover of all things honey, so I naturally had to try this tea, and let me tell you, I am SO happy that I did. As you sip the tea you can smell the floral marigold in perfect harmony with the earthy black tea scent. The honey preserved fruits create such a creamy and naturally sweet flavor that is enhanced by the floral smell that precedes it. Add a splash of milk to complement the creaminess if you so desire, and BAM. Perfect way to start your day. 10/10.

Also, can I just say how happy I am to be finally able to use my camera and not my phone to take these photos?

With finals quickly approaching, I've been wanting nothing more than to pamper myself in an attempt to forget the inevitable doom I will face next week with 4 finals over the span of 72 hours. That being said, I have been extremely enjoying Lupicia's Yume tea, which my friend bought me for my birthday this past August with a matching Yume Tea Honey. The honey is absolutely delicious on a piece of a toast, perhaps alongside the Yume tea, but let's not get too crazy.
This tea is like drinking rose petals. It is so luxurious, yet light. You distinctly taste the rosebuds, sweetened by vanilla and strawberry flavors. What is so special about this tea is that there are actual tiny pink rosebuds in the tea, which make you feel like royalty. The flavor is absolutely great, doesn't need any sugar as the strawberry and vanilla add just the right amount of sweetness. Perfect cup of tea to get your morning started.
Happy Tea Drinking and Good Luck on Finals!

This past Saturday I went to see some friends, and knowing that one of them is just as crazy about tea as I am, I decided to bring a few of my favorites to share with her. She had some teas she wanted to share with me as well, so we gave each other a sample of 5-6 of our favorite teas. It became an unannounced tea exchange, which may be a new love of mine. As I drink the teas I will post reviews and link them below.
How did we exchange? Tea bags are self explanatory, but for loose leaf we used tea filters such as these. If you are not a fan of using tea bags, don't fear! We just used them to transport. I removed the leaves and steeped them from a mesh tea ball.
Somehow, all of the teas that I brought to share were from Lupicia. Their fruity flavors are perfect for the onset of Spring so I naturally gravitated towards them (one creamy flavor snuck its way into the mix). I brought Pineapple Oolong, Te De Frutas, Napa Blanc, Milk Caramel, and Yume.
My friend shared with me a variety of flavors and brands, which is great! I love testing out new brands, kinds of teas, and flavors. I brought home with me Blackcurrant from Twining's, Organic Spring Jasmine from Mighty Leaf, Egyptian Licorice Tea from Yogi, Red Lavender from Zhena's Gypsy Tea, and Honeybush Caramel and Earl Grey Lavender from Revolution
I will link below reviews to the teas that were shared with me as I drink them:
Revolution Tea Honeybush Caramel
Twining's Tea Blackcurrant Breeze
Revolution Tea Earl Grey Lavender
Mighty Leaf Organic Spring Jasmine
Yogi Egyptian Licorice Tea
Zhena's Red Lavender Rooibos Tea

Upon entering Lupicia a little while ago, Courtney and I quickly began smelling all of the fruity teas they had on display. We were on the hunt for a nice fruit flavor to give as a give to one of her family members. When we smelled this Pineapple Oolong, we could not go without buying one for ourselves.
This is it! Today I (Vivian) will try my last wake up tea and will rank them from 1-5! This week, we wanted to see which teas were the best at waking us up and keeping us up, so I decided to try out a few of my favorites as a little experiment. The plan was the drink tea by 9:30am and then rate my energy levels at 10am, noon, and 2pm. Here is the last post! (Sorry for this being 2 days late! Studying got the best of us).
